Financial Information

The Skagit Symphony was originally affiliated with the Skagit Valley College, but became an independent, non-profit 503(c)(3) corporation in 1979. Our funding primarily comes from concert ticket sales, with three fundraisers, an annual appeal, community and corporate support making up the difference. We have sixty-plus volunteer musicians from a three-county area, and our board is also composed entirely of volunteers.

As a 501(c)(3) the Symphony is exempt from federal income tax and is required to file returns such as Form 990 and make it available for public inspection.  Form 990 is filed by November, following the end of the Fiscal Year,  June 30.
