Running for Skagit Youth
Proceeds from the Smelt Run benefit the Skagit Symphony’s Youth Program. This program includes free School Concerts for 1300 local fifth graders and a Family Concert appropriate for youth ages 6 to 106!
The Kids Dash is for small fry from 18 months – 6 years old. It begins at 9:30 am prior to the actual 5K/10K Race. All little dashers will receive a ribbon for participating.

5K/10K Run (age 6+)
$25.00 (until 2/20); $30.00 (after 2/20)
$40.00 (with shirt until 2/20); $45.00 (after 2/20)
2M Walk (age 6+)
Individual ~ $15.00 (until 2/20); $20.00 (after 2/20)
$35.00 (with shirt until 2/20); $40.00 (after 2/20)
Family ~ $30.00 (until 2/20); $35.00 (after 2/20)

8:30 am On-site registration, check-in and number pick-up OPENS
9:30 am Kids Dash Starts
9:45 am Registration CLOSES
10:00 am 5K and 10K Race Starts
10:15 am 2M Walk Starts
- Bib numbers, T-shirts, course map/directions available inside gymnasium.
- Water available on course.
- Showers available.
- Complimentary refreshments provided post race.
AWARDS
- 5K/10K Awards Ceremony including raffle immediately follows race.
- Top male and female runners in 5K & 10K run will be awarded the Grand Smelt Trophies and special gift certificates.
- Ribbons awarded to the top three finishers in each age group.
- Age divisions include:

- 20-29 yrs
- 30-39 yrs
- 40-49 yrs

DIRECTIONS
From 1-5 Southbound
Take Exit 230 toward Anacortes.
Turn left onto La Conner-Whitney Rd.
At the roundabout take 1st exit onto Morris St.
Turn right onto N 6th St.
From 1-5 Northbound
Take Exit 221. Turn left over the Freeway.
Turn right onto Fir Island Rd.
Fir Island Rd becomes Best Rd.
Turn left onto Chilberg Rd.
Enter roundabout and take 2nd exit onto Morris St.
Turn right onto N 6th St.
