Fifth Grade School Concert Series
Skagit Symphony offers this unique opportunity to Skagit County public school fifth-graders on a Thursday morning in January every year. There is no cost to schools or students to attend the School Concert, performed by the Symphony at McIntyre Hall. All expenses for the School Concerts, including school bus transportation, are paid for by our generous donors. Private school and home school groups which include grades 4-6 are invited to attend the School Concert, as well.
To participate, all schools must reserve seats through our Education Program; if your school is interested, please contact email@example.com
All ages are welcome to attend the Sunday afternoon Family Concert, although this event is most appropriate for children over three years old. A Skagit Symphony tradition for many years, this event begins with “Meet the Musicians” in the McIntyre lobby, an opportunity to talk with orchestra musicians and see their instruments up close.
There is a nominal charge for this concert of $1 per child/student, which covers ticket reservations by McIntyre Hall. Adult cost is $10. Purchase tickets online, or call McIntyre Hall Box Office (360) 416-7727.
College Music Students
College students who are studying music may play be musicians in Skagit Symphony, upon obtaining the Music Director’s approval. Musicians can sometimes receive academic credit for their participation.
