The 11th Annual Smelt Run is on Saturday, February 23rd at the La Conner Middle School. Registration opens at 8:30 am with the race beginning at 10 am sharp. The Smelt Run includes a 5/10K USATF Certified Road Race, a 2 Mile Family Walk and a Kids Dash for children aged 18-month to 6 years old. Proceeds from this annual winter event benefits the symphony's Youth Programs.

To participate in the 2008 Smelt Run, either register online via Active.com or print out a Smelt Run brochure and mail it to the Skagit Symphony, P.O. Box 1302, Mount Vernon, WA 98273-1302.

The deadline for pre-registration is February 15th.
