HOW TO SUPPORT THE SYMPHONY
The Symphony depends upon contributions from generous donors, both personal and corporate, to offset costs for producing concerts as well as to support our Education Programs. Approximately 25% of the Symphony’s funding derives from concert ticket sales. Grants from service clubs and municipal and county tourism funds, along with various fundraising events, provide additional revenues.
Your gift helps us pay for rental of beautiful McIntyre Hall, and cover all the costs that ticket sales, fundraisers and grants do not. Donate to your local Symphony by using the button below, or contact the Symphony Office to tell us specifically what you would like to support. If you’d like to support only the Education Programs, please use the button in the Education Contributor section toward the bottom of this page.
All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The Symphony is a 501(c)(3) corporation. Our tax ID number is 91-1649210. You may also fill out the Patron Donation Form (Jan 2017) to mail to the Symphony Office.
Donations are used in support the Symphony’s mission of contributing to the vitality, education and growth of classical music in the community. Gifts are welcome at any level. Patrons are acknowledged in the Symphony’s Program for one year following receipt of their gift. The Patron Drive begins in November and December. When you receive your request, please contribute generously at your own level to our community Symphony. Thank you, for supporting what you love.
Whether you’ve played the violin your entire life, or just love the french-horn, oboe, or cello, consider adopting your favorite “Instrument Section” in the Skagit Symphony. For $100 you can adopt the clarinets, drums & timpani, trombones, or any section your musical heart desires.
Your contribution helps purchase music, defrays the cost of soloists, and helps the Symphony. You can’t take them home with you, but you could enjoy a chat, or thank them for all the effort & time they give to creating beautiful music in our community. Watch for added benefits arranged by the Symphony.
And YES, for an added bonus, you can Adopt-The-Maestro (that is Roupen!) for $200.
To start your adoption, sign up at the table in the lobby at each concert – before, after or at intermission. You may also contact the Symphony’s office at 360-848-9336, with your credit card # if you prefer.
Businesses may like to purchase advertisements for our Program. This publication is printed once a year, in October before the first concert of the season. It is distributed at all of our concerts; therefore advertisements are seen all year by our concert goers. The Program is also used for other promotional opportunities, such as at Chamber of Commerce events. If you or your business would like to place an ad, please contact the Symphony’s office at 360-848-9336 or by email at execdir@SkagitSymphony.com. The best time for ordering an ad is in the early summer for placement in the following season’s Program.
Concert or Event Sponsor
For maximum exposure as a contributor to the Symphony, you may wish to become a sponsor. Our sponsors’ logos or names are included in all publications and press releases related to the concert or event. A Board representative acknowledges the sponsor at the performance or fundraiser, and the business logo is displayed on our website. Individual sponsorships usually start at the $1,000 level. If you wish to be named as a sponsor, you should include this information along with your check, and the name of the concert, event or soloist that you wish to support.

Become A Symphony Board Member
We need outgoing people in our community (young, professional, experienced, retired) who love beautiful symphonic music, to help make decisions that affect the future of The Skagit Symphony. Your desire to collaborate on projects and help with fundraising along with fellow board members is what we need. Our goal is to develop community connections through work, activities, neighbors, church, clubs, or other social venues in our community – they are our local support network, and an asset to the Symphony.
Please consider joining us. Read the Invitation Letter, and fill out the Board Application Form (Aug 2016). We need people in all walks of life, from all areas of the community to be part of the symphonic music effort in Skagit County.
Any time of the year, you can support The Skagit Symphony by purchases you make through Smile.Amazon.Com. When you specify “Skagit Symphony” as your favorite charitable non-profit, Smile.Amazon.Com donates a portion of your purchase to the Symphony each time you order. Every little bit helps keep our symphony alive and well in the community! Your Amazon and Amazon Prime memberships are both automatically part of AmazonSmile for this program. You just need to specify your non-profit charity (i.e. Skagit Valley Symphony)
