School Concert
The Skagit Symphony is currently developing a “school concert” program for local school children for our 2007-08 Season. Primary school children from our surrounding area will be invited to attend a symphony performance at McIntyre Hall.
The program will have several components including a “Classroom Kit” with EALR appropriate activities to prepare the students for their concert performance. For more information about our “school concert” please contact Linda Alvarado at execdir@skagitsymphony.com
Skagit Valley College Program
Included as part of the college’s curriculum, the Skagit Symphony allows music students to receive course credits for participating with the orchestra. Adult orchestra members serve as role models and mentors to these student musicians.
Young Soloist Concert
Each year, our Young Soloist Concert features a talented young musician from our region. The young artist rehearses and performs as a featured soloist with the orchestra. Our 2007 young soloist is Ms. Christine Wilkinson with the violin.
