The Skagit Symphony Chorus was created by Maestro Shakarian to augment and broaden the repertoire of the Symphony. Maestro Wheatley and Dave Cross, Chorus Master, are excited to expand Symphony Chorus performance opportunities, in both collaborations with the Symphony orchestra, and future stand-alone Symphony Chorus performances.

Membership is by audition and rehearsals are held Monday evenings. The Chorus warmly welcomes your participation! Please contact Dave Cross through the Skagit Symphony office for more information, or to arrange for an audition, call 360.848.9336.

Since returning to Skagit Valley, Dave Cross has performed with many regional choral groups: An-O-Chords; Bellingham Music Festival; Seattle Choral Company, where he served as Resident Bass Soloist; Seattle Symphony; Seattle Symphony Chorale; Skagit Community Art Theater; Skagit Opera; Skagit Symphony Chorus; Skagit Valley Chorale; and Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Cross has performed in some of the world’s finest venues, including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and many famed concert halls and cathedrals throughout Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, and Italy.

While Mr. Cross has performed lead roles in operas and Broadway musicals, his first musical love is conducting. Additionally, he is the Music Director for the Mount Baker British Brass Band, which returns him to his instrumental roots. He has also been the musical director for many local musical theatre productions, such as Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Godspell, Mary Poppins, Producers, and Willy Wonka. He was a co-founder, music and artistic director of Cantabile of Skagit Valley.
