Skagit Symphony is baking up a delicious finish to our Cult Classical season. Prove you’ll rise to the occasion by kneading to hear Holst’s The Planets with special guest Vox Pacifica! Soprano Renee Rybolt illuminates McIntyre Hall with Herbert Howell’s idyllic In Green Ways.
Pre-Concert Chat - You're invited to arrive a little early to join Maestro Wheatley and guest artist, Renee Rybolt, for an intimate pre-concert chat. Theater doors open at 6:40 pm for general seating, with the chat beginning at 6:45 pm. When the chat concludes, attendees will leave the theater and re-enter with their ticket to take their reserved seats for the concert.

ARTIST BIO
Renee Rybolt, Soprano
Soprano Renée Rybolt enjoys a diverse and dynamic career as a soloist, ensemble singer, conductor, and educator. While living in Houston, she has performed with numerous prestigious professional choirs, including Cantare Houston, the Houston Chamber Choir, Harmonia Stellarum, and is one of the longest standing members of the Houston Bach Society. Renée has also been featured as a soloist with several other renowned Houston-area ensembles, including Ars Lyrica, Mercury Chamber Orchestra, ROCO and the Conroe Symphony Orchestra. She has recently sung with Spire Chamber Ensemble in Kansas City, Missouri and Mennonite Choral Society in her hometown of Berne, Indiana. Renée will make her debut as soloist with Skagit Symphony in Mount Vernon, Washington in May 2026.
Following her passion for choral music, Renée accepted the position of Director of Music at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Houston in 2016. She directs the choir each week and organizes recitals and other music programs for the community. Renée's talent and leadership were honored by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in being selected to direct the music for the annual Diocesan Council in both 2023 and 2024.
Renée received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Saint Joseph’s College and Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Southern Illinois University. She has a small private voice studio in the Katy area where she lives with her husband and two children.
